i have no idea how they thought this was going to be ok. theres is the same - so this doesnt appear to be a single isolated incident. but given that this was manufactured less than 2 months ago, and there is already rust stains everywhere, and visible rust on every cut - it certainly wont be 5-6 years. These plates will eventually rust to the point that the plate slides down the the stand offs and collapses at the bottom of the case. then - they simply threw them on the new boards.
i know it was drilled and not cut as you can see the fragments and serration around every hole. so they took the fully cut and finished race II plates that were sitting around, and drilled in new holes. but the race 3 has different mounting points. they decided to re-purpose those plates for the race 3. they dont align, and are useless (manufacturers typically dont waste money on cuts for no reason) so its safe to say that vortex had race II plates sitting around collecting dust. i know because the old mount holes are on it, and there are no reason for them. The TERRIBLE finish job on the cuts to the plate Īnd unfinished mounting holes on the plate that already have rust Īfter a lot of investigating - we can say with 99.9% certainty that this is what happened: these are race II plates. So, we ripped off the caps - pulled the screw - and found this horror show almost like a creaking noise that was REALLY faint, but there. it had a minor amount of deck flex - not much, and it wasnt excessive.
the moment we got it, i could tell something was "off". Multiple profiles are supported, so you can have more than one setting saved simultaneously.Had a customer send us a new race 3 for some upgrades - complained that it was noisy (stock, unlubed cherry red) - so we were going to overhaul it with some lubed orange healios, stab upgrades, and some plate/case foam.
